Little J Talk

Little J is by far my most spirited child.  I can say that now because I am not chasing after him, cleaning up after him or feeding him.  He is loving, smart, creative and non-stop movement. He also has terrible night terrors EVERY night.  He also has a habit of forgetting to put on his underpants.

He is opinionated.  He will tell me that my muffin-top is smushy.   The other day, I was in his room, cleaning up his craft desk for the millionth time. I said to him, "How about you start thing about picking up all the beads?" because the craft desk is not good for my OCD.  He turned to me and said, "How about you start making me some lunch?  I'm hungry!"

He is loving.  He is on an animal kick at the moment and wants to own a farm when he grows up and he will have three dogs, a cat, a pig, and a hamster.  He is appalled that meat comes from animals.  He is contemplating going vegan.  He was gung-ho about being a vegan, but then I told him that ribs (a favorite meal of his) is a animal meat.  He said, "I am still very sad that people eat animals because they are my friends, but I might have to still eat ribs.  Oh, and maybe hamburgers cause I like those too!".  I had to interrupt him at this point and point out that there is not a food that he doesn't love.  He is still thinking the whole vegan thing over.  We were watching a show on Animal Planet about pigs, which got him all busted up about eating meat.  He was crying and so sad about the animals.  His little heart is just so big.

Speaking of so big, Little J is.  He is in the 80th percentile for height and he weighs 50 pounds.  The kid is a brick shit house.  I know this because he runs into me 7864 times a day.  He is solid.  I kind of freaked out the other day at his check up because of this, but I was assured that he is healthy and normal.  My produce bill will reflect that.  I buy more fruit and vegetables in a week than I care to think about.  I shop on Friday and we are out of some fruits by Monday.  He asks me to eat all day long.  It's a bit exasperating at times, like dude, don't you ever stop eating?

Little J.  I don't know how I got so lucky to be his mother.  He's a character that is one of a kind

I love what he said about going vegan but still needing ribs and burgers. :D
