First Day
Just so you know...I cried. I cried like a baby. The bus wasn't even near my driveway and my eyes started to tear up. Joey put one foot on the bus and I tearfully announced to the bus driver that Joey was a Kindergartner and to be careful with him.
As if his older brother, older best friend and our 11 year old babysitter-in-training were not on the bus with him.
I just saw my little baby get on the bus for the first time. He was so excited that he couldn't fall asleep last night, he awoke at 6:30 a.m. and chanted, "Bus Stop, Bus Stop, Bus Stop!" for twenty minutes non-stop this morning. I however, lost it when I saw his little legs walk up the bus steps.
Aivlene and I dulled the pain by going shopping. She wore a tutu and I wore cargo pants. She declared the event fun and wants to do it every day and maybe we can add a trip into Chuckie Cheese the factor. She says she loves Fridays because the boys go to school. I have a cold and my eyes hurt from crying.
I can't wait until 4:30 and the bus rolls up!
Ohhh! I can't believe little Joe is starting school. Wasn't he just a little fat baby? How did his first day go?
